The old book featured on the Paranormal Britain documentaries is called 'Old England's Worthies' and was puplished by Lord Brougham, Charles Cox and others in 1847 in London. It is partly a gallery with printed illustrative portraits of some of the most famous people in history, including their biographies. Some of these people consist of Elizabeth I, Cromwell, Charles I and William III, and many other eminant statesmen, lawyers, warriors, men of letters and science and artists. The book also features twelve illuminated, brightly coloured engravings of famous locations such as the old palace of Greenwich and Stratford Upon-Avon.
